2023 Year-End Giving

As 2023 comes to a close and you and your family consider possible end-of-year donations, we would like to express our gratitude for your continued support throughout the year. We also want to encourage you to remain generous in the upcoming year, as it will help us end this year with strength and allow us to continue the important work of love and justice that is the cornerstone of State Street Community Church.

We are grateful to God for blessing us with a united and healthy church, as well as a dedicated team of leaders, pastors, staff, and volunteers who are committed to helping others realize their importance to God and their role in His vision for the world.

State Street Community Church has experienced significant numerical growth on Sunday mornings, with over 16% more people attending this year compared to last. We are incredibly thankful for the new individuals and families who have joined our community. However, as we celebrate this growth, we also acknowledge that our giving has decreased by 9% compared to last year. We celebrate one while being mindful of the other.

We, as a church, have a long-standing history of being extremely generous with our ministries while also being fiscally responsible with our budget. We have made the difficult decision to freeze the salaries of our staff to address the shortage in donations despite the ongoing increase in inflation and their continued excellent leadership. Additionally, we are conducting audits of all our budgets and making any possible cuts to our youth, children's, and administrative budgets.

Your generous contributions fuel our mission and the various ministries at State Street Community Church. Without your support, the significant growth we have experienced may not have been possible. As we reach the end of this year and look towards 2024, your financial commitment is crucial, and we trust that God will provide tangible ways to sustain the profound impact we are making in the lives of people in LaPorte County.

HOW TO GIVE A YEAR-END GIFT
You can donate online, by mail, or in the donation boxes located in the foyer of State Street Community Church. All gifts made online by midnight on January 1st or dropped off at the church before then will be counted towards the 2023 fiscal year unless specifically dated for 2024.

THIS SUNDAY

This coming Sunday, Pastor Nate Loucks will deliver a one-week vision message at State Street Community Church about "What's Next." Service times have returned to their regular schedule at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Children's ministry will be offered at both services. If you cannot attend in person, the service will also be available for live streaming.
