What We Believe

"We don't believe something by merely saying we believe it, or even when we believe that we believe it. We believe something when we act as if it were true."
- Dallas Willard

Core Beliefs

We believe many things to be true about Christ, His Church, and our role within this world. Perhaps the best place to start and end, however, is where the Church has been for the past 1700 years; the Apostle's Creed. We affirm the following:

THE APOSTLES CREED

We believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to the dead.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting.
